Wayne Johnson
Co-founder and CEO
Wayne co-founded Encompass in Sydney, taking our product to market there in 2012. Since then, as CEO, he has led the international expansion of Encompass, including launches in the UK in 2015 and Singapore in 2018, and driven recognition as one of the UK’s most influential RegTech firms and KYC solution providers.
Before Encompass, Wayne was co-founder and CEO of Software Associates, until the company’s successful exit to a Hong Kong-listed company.
Roger Carson
Co-founder & Executive Director
Roger co-founded Encompass and has brought the company’s vision to life, expanding our reach and impact from Australia to the UK. His global outlook is informed by a highly successful international sales career, with Andersen Consulting then Unisys in the USA, South Africa, and Australia, as well as leadership roles in Asia.
Prior to Encompass, Roger founded Pacific Advantage Services, raised Capital from Europe for Asian distribution, and completed a trade sale to IM Invest.
Stuart Barnard
Chief Financial Officer
An experienced Chartered Accountant, Stuart is responsible for leading Encompass’ global finance organization, and manages the People, Legal, IT and InfoSec functions of the business.
Stuart has held several financial, compliance and operational roles at professional service firms in London and Sydney. Prior to Encompass, he established and led the operations of a high growth business advisory start-up, working with SMEs and entrepreneurial businesses to deliver commercial, operational and accounting advisory services. In this role, Stuart was the first employee in the region, and managed operations and delivery functions through a period of hyper growth.
Alex Ford
Chief Revenue Officer
Based in New York, Alex drives business growth globally for Encompass, working with customers, partners and the wider industry to transform KYC with Corporate Digital Identity (CDI).
Joining in 2012, Alex has held Executive responsibility for business functions including Customer Success, Operations, Marketing, Product and Delivery. From 2015 to 2020 Alex was based in Glasgow with the launch and expansion of the UK operation, before taking up leadership of the North America business.
As host of the RegTech 20/20 podcast she showcases industry trends and professionals from across the global RegTech community. She also serves on the board of The RegTech Association and works with the Business Information Industry Association. Prior to Encompass, Alex worked in innovation and marketing roles for coaching, leadership and technology businesses in APAC.
Andrew Dunn
Vice President, Engineering
As VP of Engineering, Andrew leads the strategic delivery of Encompass solutions, ensuring they address the critical needs of our global banking customers in order to bring maximum value.
With deep product and business transformation experience gained from serving as Chief Technology Officer at organizations including Arachnys and OpenCorporates, Andrew has a proven record of driving innovation-led development across multiple industries.
Based in London, Andrew is part of the Encompass executive team and oversees engineering teams across technical centres in Glasgow, Sydney, and Belgrade.
Magalie Pimentel
Vice President, Marketing
Magalie joined Encompass in 2018 as Head of Marketing, based in London, and leads the marketing strategy for Encompass, with teams in London, Glasgow, and Sydney.
Prior to Encompass, Magalie held positions at leading business information and RegTech companies, in a range of sales and marketing roles. These included Dow Jones Risk & Compliance, Opus (Alacra) and RDC. While at RDC, Magalie developed and implemented the marketing strategy for launching RDC in EMEA.
Adam Gent
Vice President, Operations
As VP of Operations Adam leads our customer facing operations which includes our customer success, transformation, delivery and presales teams.
Prior to joining Encompass as MD at Accenture, Adam led the UKI Operations business for Financial Services and the Compliance as a Service offering in Europe and the Middle East. He has established and scaled multiple global operational and technology teams from strategy to execution.

Roy McKelvie
Chairman
Roy has over 25 years’ experience in operational roles as well as investment management and private equity in Australia, Asia, UK and Europe. He has worked across multiple sectors including financial services, resources, retail, business services and FMCG.
Roy began his career in development and operational roles for multinational packaging and textile companies before joining the 3i Group. Roy then served as Managing Director and Asian Head of Deutsche Bank Capital Partners in Hong Kong. Following this, he was the Managing Director and CEO of Gresham Private Equity, and CEO of Transfield Holdings.
Daryn Edgar
Non-Executive Director
Daryn has over 20 years’ of enterprise platform experience across major enterprise vendors within significant global initiatives.
Recognised by ComputerWeekly’s Most Influential Women in UK IT and the Women in Technology Awards, Daryn speaks on a range of topics in digital technology, business development and diversity. As an active startup mentor, Board member and angel investor, Daryn is skilled at building relationships to produce value and influence direction.
Doris Honold
Non-Executive Director
Doris Honold has over 25 years of financial services experience, working in various Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) roles across the globe in Frankfurt, Singapore, Tokyo and London.
Honold spent over 12 years at Standard Chartered Bank, most recently as Group COO and member of its executive committee. Prior to joining Standard Chartered she had global responsibility for Dresdner Kleinwort’s market risk function.
Honold holds a number of board and advisory positions where she continues to offer her expertise regarding risk management.
Raymond W. Scott
Non-Executive Director
Following a successful career in mathematics and software engineering in both the UK and Europe, Ray co-founded Axolotl Corp. to provide collaborative electronic workflow solutions for communities of health care providers. Later, he emigrated to the USA and was instrumental in creating the concepts around Clinical Messaging, turning electronic medical record communication into a reality.
He is currently chairman of Health Level and Reveal Biosensors, and is a board director of Health Fidelity, Stella Technology, Empatica and iRhythm Technologies. Ray is also an active adviser to Genus AI, a consumer-based AI marketing company.
While building Axolotl Corp, Ray served on the eHealth Initiative Board, a public/private collaborative helping to steer US government healthcare policy.
Earlier in his career, Ray was a research fellow at Harwell Lab in the UK. He designed and implemented the first criminal intelligence computer system for New Scotland Yard, a software package to create current and future anti-forgery designs for UK bank notes, and real-time software to control the flight of military rockets.
